Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and Licensed School Psychologist with specialized training in trauma and working with children and families.
Through her practice she offers individual and family therapy, supervision to therapists and trauma-informed consultation and training for individuals, organizations, and schools.
Much of the work and training that Kristin does is grounded in concepts from the Neurosequential Model developed by Bruce Perry, MD, PhD. and in Synergetic Play Therapy. She is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist and a Synergetic Play Therapy Supervisor.
Kristin has extensive training in the Neurosequential Model. She has completed the Phase II Train-the-Trainer in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics ™ (NMT) and is trained in the Neurosequential Model of Education™(NME). Currently, Kristin is in the Mentor, Phase III certification process.
Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, her Masters in Social Work from Colorado State University and completed the School Psychology program at University of Utah.
She has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. She began her work in psychiatric hospitals and clinics and has since worked in schools, private practice, and community agencies.
Kristin currently lives and practices in the Durango, CO area. She enjoys being in the mountains, traveling, learning and company of good friends.
